David has been in entertainment professionally since the age of 9 where he got his start with Placido Domingo singing in the operas Othello and La Boheme. He was cast in the 90’s reboot of Disney’s “The All New Mickey Mouse Club” that would also star Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, and Ryan Gosling. David was also cast to co-star alongside Lauryn Hill, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Whoopi Goldberg in the cult classic Sister Act 2 Back in the Habit. After attending Los Angeles County Highschool for the Arts, famously known as LACHSA, David was cast as an ensemble member in the touring company of Miss Saigon where later he was cast to play the role of Thuy both on the road and on Broadway.
David decided it was time to shift his career and be more immersed in popular music and was signed as a recording artist to several recording deals including, TVT records, Red Zone Entertainment/ Dreamworks Records under mega-producer Christopher “Tricky” Stewart, and very briefly to MCA under the helm of Randy Jackson. Since then, David has had success with writing hits for the Kpop and Jpop market as well as writing and producing for several movies and television programs such as Chris Rock’s “Good Hair” on HBO, Netflix’s animated movies “Gnome Alone” and “Charming”, CW’s “One Tree Hill” to name a few. David has also been on several tours as a singer in Europe as well as performing for Queen Elizabeth at her birthday concert.
David is currently music producer and consultant for The Ninth House Films and has produced and song written for a lot of their films. He is also now involved in several literary projects, including a children’s book series that promotes acceptance and celebrates diversity.
